A veces siento que el mundo ha perdido la capacidad de admiración, de experimentar lo increíble, de deleitarse con el asombro. La vida está llena de gracia, movimiento, color, textura y belleza. Si sólo nos detenemos a mirar, podemos ver y experimentar estas cualidades en todas partes. Esto es lo que intento lograr con mis fotografías: llamar la atención sobre las maravillas del mundo, compartir la extraordinaria riqueza de la existencia con los demás, capturar la magnificencia de la expresión y los gestos y resaltar lo que tan a menudo se pasa por alto en la observación ordinaria. Ese es el propósito de mi trabajo. Al componer, iluminar, coreografiar y manipular cuidadosamente cada mínimo aspecto de cada composición, me esfuerzo por transformar lo ordinario en perfección y lograr, aunque sea por breves instantes, momentos de pura utopía.

Sometimes I feel like the world has lost the capacity for admiration, to experience the incredible, to revel in astonishment. Life is filled with grace, motion, color, texture and beauty. If we only pause to look, we can see and experience these qualities everywhere. This is what I attempt to accomplish with my photographs, to call attention to the wondrousness of the world, to share the extraordinary richness of existence with others, to capture the magnificence of expression and gesture, and highlight what is so often missed in ordinary observation. That is the purpose of my work. By carefully composing, lighting, choreographing and manipulating every minute aspect of every composition, I strive to transform the ordinary into perfection and to achieve, if only for brief instants, moments of pure utopia.
